I am a determined young lady from a small town in Benoni. Fashionista who

is inspired by African fashion, but fascinated by Western style.

I'm basically a journalist in training, who enjoys the fruits of the

Media. First and for most my passion is more or less Fashion, but

Because of the social and economic injustices, I'm an intact activist,

Who believes that fashion and media can be used as a stream to reach

out to people. A mass communicator by academics but a true fashion

Addict.

My love for fashion and media is something that's in my veins. For me

the role and effect of fashion

has is tantamount to the role the media has. Fashion for me is freedom

of expression. Through the way I dress, I communicate with the world.

My clothes send a message. Fashion and style is more of a medium for

me. I wear what I like as much as I write what I like. I'm opinionated

through fashion as much as I am through pen and paper.

When asked where I want to intern or major, I don't answer, not

because I don't know, but because I'm looking for a place that will

allow me  to merge politics with fashion. Yes. I'm talking magazines

and deep politics.

Early this year I was given an opportunity by the prestigious O

Magazine to shadow there. I had a great time and learned a lot in

terms of feature writing which is what I love most. More is to follow

with True Love Magazine. My blog is call http://fash-polit.blogspot.com/

Fash for my love for fashion and polit for my growing love for politics.

I'm an epitome of beauty and brain. I use fashion and my brain as a

strong weapon to fight patriarchy.

I have goals that scare people but grow the respect people have for me.

Zinhle Zama Khumalo is not me but words given to me. They identify me

but don't determine me.

I'm  Rihana's number one fan, and a patriotic citizen of the lovely

South Africa. I love fashion and Politics. I am Hazelbird.

Let them talk…

An opportunity is given to those who want to talk, talk and talk but receive and kindly accept this huge opportunity to hear it first from the “horse’s mouth”.

Who is Lindokuhle Mnisi? (You ask)

This is a young student journalist from the Tshwane University of Technology who is so passionate about journalism and is hands on everything that appeals to him. He is determined, ambitions and goal driven (about life as a whole). Mnisi is a go getter and always up for any challenge that comes before him. It is a known fact that “Life has challenges and therefore, Life is a challenge” but a challenge that has to be faced. Lindokuhle has big dreams; hence other people call him The Dream. The name started back in his teenage hood life when he used to discuss life issues with friends and family. That has given him honour and respect as people in the village would always depend on him for advice.

About how Lindokuhle think…

He is an open minded person, a critical thinker who always has answers for any question varying from any topic. Believing that a journalist has to know a bit about everything challenged his mind and made him the opinionated person that he is. Being known as a person who always politicise matters has got him in too many places including TUT-FM where he started working as a political analyst for a current affairs show (Live@6). When he looks at issues, he doesn’t look from a dictionary’s point of view or from a general view but he focus on the facts that won’t be easy to identify. That has made him unique throughout his life. I guess that’s why people respect his analysis.

Lindokuhle has so many ideas and sometimes ideologies in his manner of thinking. No matter how much you hate politics, it will always haunt you and your life will be surrounded by politics and ideologies.

Lindokuhle will be with the SABC during June/July holidays

Currently: a reporter for a campus newspaper (TUTLIFE), a community newspaper (Rekord NOWETO) and community radio station (TUT-FM)Content producer and co-presenter for a current affairs show (Live@6 on TUT-FM)

I go by the name of Gomolemo Euratia Mashabela, a determined young lady who loves learning new things and fashion. I am in International Communication student, who enjoys communicating, gaining experience and exchanging views with people I come across. I love fashion, blogging and exploring. Fashion is who I am and I think it should have been my second name, with fashion I get to learn, I get to capture the arts that surround us and with it I represent me.

I blog to express my views, to embrace the arts that capture an individual, inform people about what is happening around them concerning fashion and events. For me blogging allows an individual to live his or her life unscripted, meaning that, you write what you feel is best for yourself and the people reading it, it should represent you and what you stand for. You blog what you know and what you wish to pass on to others that interests them.

I relate to my life to what I love most, relate to communication and fashion. Communicating or expressing an individual’s fashion sense through his or her outfit. Relating my fashion to my exploring and with that I learn everyday.

Gomolemo will be with Seventeen magazine during June/July holidays
